Weekly 6

Each Monday, I post 6 things I have found and adore in the Craft, Paper, Art, Design, Fashion, and Food catagories.

Sewing/Craft: I absolutely love the topography feel of this felt scrap rug. Time consuming? Yes. Worth it? Possibly.

Crafts: Sewing Machine Cover

I got a brand new Singer Simplicity for a steal at a local sewing shop and decided to make a cover for it with fabric I bought there.

I measured around the sewing machine (very loosely) and sketched it out. I stiffened it up with some non-fusible webbing (just what i had on hand) and added a couple pockets for the foot and cords and also extras to keep nearby.

3 pockets in front hold scissors, seam ripper, extra fabric and thread

back view with a jeans pocket for the cords and another piece of the same pair for the foot
It's stylish enough to sit on a counter while you're in between projects and keep the dust off and easily slips on and off for taking along.
